The Company has established its “Safe Ride for Gaokao Candidates” program as a signature and long-term public welfare initiative.

Since its launch in 2003, the program has been continuously carried out for 23 consecutive years. Leveraging its mobile taxi fleet, Xihu has provided Shenzhen’s college entrance examination candidates with a safe, convenient, and caring transportation channel, delivering warmth and support throughout the city through every journey. Through sustained public welfare practices, the Company continues to uphold its commitment to serving the community as a locally rooted enterprise.

In Xihu, our action to alleviate the poverty could be demonstrated by a motto that “we shall always trace our fortune back to original source, never stop pursuing grandeur success and don’t forget to alleviate poverty ”.

Instead of just a slogan, our poverty alleviation program has officially started to shed light on the numerous poverty stricken students form Guangdong, Hunan ,Tibet and North Shanxi since first Xihu “Hope School” was established in 1992. it was just like spring air travelling across thousand miles.

The outstanding unit award has been bestowed to Xihu Corporation in recognition of Xihu’s exceptional performance and meritorious deeds of education donation. Although transformation of state-owned enterprise into private one in 1992, continuity of donating schools has been firmly secured by the successors.

For more than 20 years, a total of 15 hope schools have been opened around China, with accumulated monetary donation of 30 million RMB as well as education facilities and more than 10000 books. While this program greatly promoted the teaching capability and dorm conditions, more that 5000 poverty-stricken students were able to return school. Most of Xihu hope school ranks top in the regions in aspects of facilities and teachers capability.

There was a family of three children surnamed Han living in Jingzhao Village of North Shanxi Province,. Zhaoying, 12 years old, was the eldest one. The second one Baoying was 9 years old and youngest one, Jianying, was a boy who was just 7 years old. The death of their parents left difficult time for three children and their grandma.This was just a showcase of people's living conditions in Luochuan region.Many great people of Luochuan had sacrificed their lives for the foundation of new China. There was a saying “ One Eighth Route Army soldier in three courtyards and one martyr out of 5 families.” Hanging at the entrance of many house caves were the glorious signboards to memorize those martyrs who died for the great revolution. Anyone present shall give condolence and grieves to the local people. Xihu Corporation started to build hope schools and launch poverty alleviation program, with initiative to give Luochuan children the opportunity to return school. A first batch of 35000 RMB was invested for construction of Luochuan Hope School. Hereafter, Xihu people launched a donation campaign for raising fund, which helped 50 heavily poverty-stricken families of students and teachers.

In addition to building donation and monetary support, Xihu's senior management have visited Dongga town in Tibet for many times. During the visit, a series of brainstorming sessions with the supervisor of Dongga Town and the chief of Xiaokang Village helped in solving some important issues for Dongga's development. In total, Xihu management have sent more than 30 people in five batches to Dongga poverty-stricken area in Tibet. We bring the modern concept of teaching and school operation, that contributed to the development of local schools in Tibet.

Over the years, we have received more than 100 appreciation letters from the local government, general public and students who had expressed their gratitude to the company. A schoolboy summarized in his letter: "thank you Xihu! Carry the schoolbag you sent and use the stationery box you bought. When I meet people, I say: I am a student of Xihu hope primary school, and I want to study hard. ”
